Half Black Angelfish

Details

Vrolik’s Angelfish (Centropyge vrolikii) is a striking and often overlooked dwarf angelfish known for its dramatic contrast of deep charcoal coloration, electric blue striping, and bright orange accents. It offers all the personality and visual impact people love about Centropyge angelfish, while remaining a manageable size for many home aquariums.

These individuals are captive bred and raised in controlled conditions to ensure strong health, consistent feeding response, and adaptability to aquarium life. Aquacultured angelfish are typically hardier and better prepared for captivity than wild-caught specimens, making them an excellent choice for aquarists seeking long-term success.

Vrolik’s Angelfish does best in aquariums of 50 gallons or larger with plenty of live rock for grazing and shelter. It is considered semi-aggressive and, like most dwarf angelfish, is reef compatible with caution. Individual behavior can vary, and some may nip at certain corals. A varied omnivorous diet including Easy Reefs DKI pellets, frozen Spirulina brine, and frozen herbivore foods will help maintain health and coloration.
