Chaetodontoplus cephaloreticulatus - The Maze Angelfish is a large species of angelfish that only increases with vibrancy as it gets older. These captive bred specimens are well conditioned and hardier than wild caught.
Maze Angelfish are arguably one of the most beautiful marine fish on earth. They were historically one of the rarest and priciest angelfish species in home aquaria, but thanks to captive breeding efforts, they're more available and affordable than ever.
As juveniles, they are velvety black with yellow bars, and as they mature they lose the black coloration and gain intense iridescent blue whorls and lines resembling a maze. No two individuals have the same pattern. If you're looking for a large angelfish to be the showpiece for your tank, this is the one.
