Opistognathus aurifrons - The Yellowhead Jawfish, bred responsibly by MERS, is a burrowing fish with lots of personality. Known for their bright yellow heads and shimmering white bodies with blue iridescence, these adorable fish are as playful as they are beautiful.
Yellowhead Jawfish are fascinating additions to nano or larger aquariums, creating burrows in sandy substrates and popping their heads out to keep an eye on their surroundings. They thrive best in peaceful communities and are perfect for reef tanks. A tight fitting lid is necessary to prevent this species from jumping out of the aquarium.
