The Elilai Montipora gets its name from the beautiful Plumeria flower. Known as "Elilai" in Palau, this national flower is an important part of Palauan culture.
The Montipora is a small polyp stony coral that prefers moderate to strong water flow and lighting. Like other SPS corals, this coral requires stable alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, and trace elements for health and skeleton building.
