Collonista spp. - The Mini Trochus Snail is a ravenous herbivore bred and raised at Biota Florida. These inverts make great additions to your clean up crew as they eat film algae on your glass and even some Cyanobacteria and Diatoms. These snails are extremely tiny even as adults. They're perfect for nano or pico tanks, but they're also great for large tanks because they can fit into crevices in rocks and places larger snails can't reach.
These snails will reproduce in your tank, unlike the majority of other snails. This species is incredibly hardy and forgiving.
These snails are small enough to fit in pumps and plumbing, but with your regular cleaning they're manageable.
