Easy Reefs PKO is a powdered clay material aimed at removing phosphate from aquariums.
The product is ionically modified bentonite which is highly absorbent and adsorbent at the same time. When placed in water it reacts with phosphate creating a new insoluble element that prevents it from returning to the water column, and results should come within three hours of the product being added to the tank. It’s inert, so shouldn’t cause a negative alkalinity shift and one kilogram can remove more than 30 grams of phosphate.
Mix one part powder with four parts water and administer the resulting liquid manually or with a dosing pump.
