Pavo Damsel Each

Details

Pomacentrus pavo - The Pavo or Peacock damselfish is a beautiful bright azure fish with yellow fins as juveniles. Wild caught Pavo Damselfish are rarely found in the aquarium trade, but are popular because they're so bright, active, and among the most robust aquarium fish available. Biota is happy to offer captive bred Pavo Damselfish to fill this need, and our fish are even hardier and more friendly than their wild caught counterparts. These fish are often called "bulletproof" because of how incredibly resilient they are, making them great for beginners.

Pavo Damselfish are one of the smaller and most peaceful damselfish, which makes them a good choice for reef aquariums with fish of similar semi-aggressive temperament. Our captive bred Pavo Damselfish make a beautiful display of shoaling when kept in small groups in larger tanks, similarly to Vanderbilt Chromis. If you plan to keep these with other species, t's a good idea to add these damsels after all the other fish have settled in to the aquarium, as they may pick on newly added fish and very docile fish.

These omnivores are very easy to feed and will help to clean up some filamentous algae in home aquariums. We recommend feeding a diet of frozen foods and Easy Reefs DKI pellets and Masstick.
