Tomato Clownfish Proaquatix

Details

Amphiprion frenatus - The Tomato Clownfish is a bold and colorful species known for its deep reddish-orange body and distinctive single white head bar. Bred by Proaquatix in the USA, these aquacultured clownfish are well-suited for home aquariums thanks to their hardy nature and adaptability. Tomato Clownfish are slightly more territorial than other species, making them best suited for medium to large tanks, especially when kept as a pair.

In the wild, Tomato Clownfish are most commonly associated with the Bubble Tip Anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor). In aquariums, they readily accept this host but don't require an anemone to thrive. They may also adopt other anemones, coral, algae, or rockwork as a home when an anemone is not present.

Like all aquacultured fish, Proaquatix Tomato Clownfish are raised on prepared foods, accustomed to aquarium life, and more sustainable than wild-caught alternatives. By choosing these captive-bred fish, you’re helping reduce pressure on reef ecosystems while adding a vibrant and resilient species to your reef.

When combining Proaquatix with Biota fish in the same order, please choose a Thursday or Friday delivery
