White Stripe Maroon Clownfish Proaquatix

Details

Premnas biaculeatus - The White Stripe Maroon Clownfish is a stunning and bold addition to any saltwater aquarium. With a deep maroon body and crisp white stripes, this species is known for its striking contrast and commanding presence. These aquacultured specimens from Proaquatix are well adapted to life in captivity, offering aquarists a hardy alternative to wild-caught fish.

Maroon Clownfish are known for their strong personalities and can be more territorial than other clownfish species, especially as they mature. It's recommended to keep only one per tank unless you are an experienced hobbyist looking to establish a bonded pair. Even then, tank size and careful observation are important to ensure compatibility.

In the wild, White Stripe Maroon Clownfish are commonly found hosting bubble-tip anemones (Entacmaea quadricolor), and they readily form the same symbiotic relationships in aquariums if an anemone is available. However, a host anemone is not a requirement for their health or well-being in captivity.

These fish make a dynamic display in reef or fish-only tanks and are an excellent choice for aquarists looking for a bold, aquacultured centerpiece.

When combining Proaquatix with Biota fish in the same order, please choose a Thursday or Friday delivery
