Echinophyllia spp. - These multicolored chalice corals have are prized for their bright colors. These specimens are cultured and not taken from the wild.
Chalice corals prefer moderate water flow and lighting. Brighter lighting will help maintain its beautiful coloration. This species typically does well in the lower sections of a brightly lit aquarium. Give it plenty of space to grow away from other corals.
Like other LPS corals, this coral requires stable alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, and trace elements for health and skeleton building. It gets most of its nutrition from symbiotic zooxanthellae, but does best when fed a variety of coral foods and frozen foods.
