Duncanopsammia axifuga - The Biota Duncan Coral is aquacultured in our Florida facility, and we're offering single polyp frags. The Duncan coral was once a very rare species in the aquarium trade, but because it is easy to grow and frag, it has become a popular and well-loved reef tank coral.
This is a type of large polyp stony coral that requires stable alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, and trace elements in the water. It prefers moderate water flow and light and will benefit from frequent feedings of coral foods, pellet foods like Easy Reefs DKI, and meaty frozen foods like frozen mysis shrimp.
This hardy species is a good choice for beginners who have a stable environment and water parameters. This coral will quickly form new polyps that will branch and grow into a beautiful, flowering colony.
