Petrolisthes bolivarensis - The Purple Zebra Porcelain Crab is a seldom seen, reef safe "crab" perfect for nano tanks. They're extremely peaceful and don't harm any other fish or invertebrates. They can be kept with the smallest of gobies and even seahorses.
This species can be identified from other similar species by the orange spots on its claws and blue mouth.
It uses two "feathery baskets" at the end of its feeding arms (third maxillipeds) to filter food from the water column. It will also accept bits of prepared foods like tiny pellets and frozen foods.
Biota recommends introducing new livestock using an acclimation box. These animals are small on arrival and tend to hide very well.
