Dischistodus perspicillatus - Biota Palau is announcing another new cultured species! The White damselfish is very rare in the aquarium trade. This species is an exceptionally hardy saltwater fish and perfect for the damselfish collector or large aquariums with other aggressive species and plenty of territory for this boisterous fish.
They have pale cream body with a white vertical band, two black stripes, and warm yellow fins and body accents. If you're adding these to a tank with larger fish, it's recommended to add them to the tank using an acclimation box.
Feeding
This herbivorous species is a hearty eater and is not picky. In the wild they're reported to farm macroalgae. We recommend a varied diet of nori, frozen foods, and Easy Reefs DKI pellets and Masstick.
